What does this integration do?
The Paraşüt integration connects your bookkeeping to Shopify: sales invoices are issued automatically, customer records are created and payments are matched. It is the quickest accounting flow to set up for small and mid-sized stores.

How the data flows

Product and service matching
Shopify products are matched to the line items on the Paraşüt side. For a large catalogue we set up rule-based matching rather than mapping one by one.

The customer record is created
A customer card is created for the person or company placing the order; a matching key is fixed so duplicates do not build up.

The sales invoice is issued
The invoice is created on the defined trigger, with shipping charges and discounts written to the correct lines.

The payment is recorded
A payment record is opened per payment method. Reconciliation is built around virtual POS settlements landing in the bank account.

Returns and period close
Returns are handled with matching documents, so the data that reaches your accountant at period end is consistent.
What we watch for in this integration
Paraşüt is quick to set up for small and mid-sized operations; multi-warehouse and manufacturing setups should assess a full ERP separately
Where the virtual POS commission is booked as an expense is decided up front; otherwise payment amounts will not reconcile
Shipping charges and service items are matched to fixed definitions
A single matching key is used to prevent duplicate customer records
At high order volumes, whether invoices are issued in bulk or individually matters for performance
The setup process

Data and permission analysis
We decide which data flows in which direction, which system is the master, and what API permissions are required.

Mapping table
Product, variant, category, warehouse and account fields are mapped between the two systems, one by one.

Development and testing
The integration is built on a development store; order, return and error scenarios are tested with real data.

Going live
It is released through a controlled switchover, watched closely for the first few days, with the error queue monitored.

Monitoring and maintenance
Logging, error alerting and API version updates continue under the maintenance retainer.
