Trendyol Shopify integration

Managing product, stock, price and order data with Trendyol from one place.

What does this integration do?

The Trendyol integration takes your catalogue onto the marketplace and keeps stock truth in a single place. The critical issue is the risk of dual sources: we define which system owns stock up front.

The data it synchronises

Product and variant matching
Stock and price synchronisation
Order transfer
Shipping and label flow
Returns management
Category / attribute mapping

How the data flows

01
The stock source is fixed
A single owner for stock is chosen: Shopify, the ERP or the integrator. Setups holding stock in all three eventually turn into overselling and cancellations.
02
Product and category matching
Products are matched on barcode; Trendyol's category tree and required product attributes are fed from your own data fields. Without those fields, every product has to be entered by hand.
03
Stock and price flow
The channel price is calculated by adding commission and shipping cost, with a price floor defined. Sync frequency is raised for fast-moving products.
04
Orders and shipping
Orders land in Shopify tagged with their source. Because shipping runs through the platform's contracted carrier, the label is generated there, and duplicate notifications are prevented.
05
Returns and reconciliation
Writing stock back on returns is automated; commission and settlement reports are compared in the monthly reconciliation.

What we watch for in this integration

In a catalogue without barcodes, matching is manual and repeats with every new product; a barcode scheme is a precondition for the integration
Manual price and stock changes made in the panel are reverted at the next sync; managing price from one place is the rule
Leaving a buffer of stock on critical products protects your cancellation rate and therefore your seller score
Customer data coming from the marketplace is not your consented list and cannot be added to marketing
Channel profitability must be calculated after commission, shipping and returns; revenue alone is misleading

The setup process

01
Data and permission analysis
We decide which data flows in which direction, which system is the master, and what API permissions are required.
02
Mapping table
Product, variant, category, warehouse and account fields are mapped between the two systems, one by one.
03
Development and testing
The integration is built on a development store; order, return and error scenarios are tested with real data.
04
Going live
It is released through a controlled switchover, watched closely for the first few days, with the error queue monitored.
05
Monitoring and maintenance
Logging, error alerting and API version updates continue under the maintenance retainer.

Frequently asked

A single stock source, a buffer on critical products, and priority processing for stock decreases. We also plan sync frequency separately for campaign periods; because the cancellation rate directly affects your seller score, all three go in together.
