How the data flows
01
The order becomes a shipment
A shipment record is opened on the PTT side for confirmed orders. For stores shipping regularly to remote regions, we design this flow alongside the other carriers.

Carrier selection
If you work with several carriers, which order goes to which one is decided by rule: region, volumetric weight, order value or customer preference.

The label is generated
Barcodes are printed individually or in bulk; on cash-on-delivery shipments the collection detail is printed on the label.

The tracking number is written back
The number is written onto the Shopify order and the customer notification is triggered.

Delivery status is tracked
Delivered and undeliverable statuses are reflected on the order; shipments that stay still for a long time are collected in a separate list.

For stores working with several carriers, the real decision is not the integration but the routing rule: which order goes to which carrier
Delivery times differ for remote regions and village distribution; the delivery promise on the site should account for that
Capturing the postcode alongside the address markedly reduces distribution errors

The setup process

Data and permission analysis
We decide which data flows in which direction, which system is the master, and what API permissions are required.

Mapping table
Product, variant, category, warehouse and account fields are mapped between the two systems, one by one.

Development and testing
The integration is built on a development store; order, return and error scenarios are tested with real data.

Going live
It is released through a controlled switchover, watched closely for the first few days, with the error queue monitored.

Monitoring and maintenance
Logging, error alerting and API version updates continue under the maintenance retainer.
