What does this integration do?
The Uyumsoft integration connects e-transformation processes to the Shopify order flow. When an order completes, an invoice is created, the tax authority processes run on the Uyumsoft side, and the result is written onto the order.

How the data flows

Registration check
Whether the buyer is registered for e-invoicing is checked and the document type selected automatically.

The document is prepared
The document is created with order lines, VAT rates, shipping charge and discount distribution.

The tax authority process runs
Submission and approval run through Uyumsoft; document status is monitored and failed documents are collected in a separate list.

The result is written to the order
The invoice number and status are written onto the Shopify order; delivery to the customer is automated according to preference.

Accounting transfer
Accounting entries and period data are transferred in the format your accountant expects.
What we watch for in this integration
Where an integration is built without document status tracking, faulty documents create a pile of work at month end
Business buyer details must be collected at checkout; asking afterwards delays the invoice and wearies the customer
In carts with mixed VAT rates, discounts are distributed proportionally
Export invoicing is a separate flow; if you sell internationally, it is brought into scope from the start
We do not go live without planning the move between the test and production environments
The setup process

Data and permission analysis
We decide which data flows in which direction, which system is the master, and what API permissions are required.

Mapping table
Product, variant, category, warehouse and account fields are mapped between the two systems, one by one.

Development and testing
The integration is built on a development store; order, return and error scenarios are tested with real data.

Going live
It is released through a controlled switchover, watched closely for the first few days, with the error queue monitored.

Monitoring and maintenance
Logging, error alerting and API version updates continue under the maintenance retainer.
